The Process

We make the wedding ceremony process simple, stress-free, and enjoyable.

Here’s how it works:

  • You reach out through our website or email with your date, location, and a few details. We’ll check availability and send you the information you need to get started. You can do that here: https://marryus.cc/book

  • We schedule a quick 15-minute video or phone call to meet each other, hear about your vision, and walk you through ceremony options. This step is not included in the Make It Legal package.

    Note: you don’t have to book anything at this point! Think of this as a ‘vibe-check’ to see if you want to book with Marry Us.

  • Once you’re ready to move forward, a $100 non-refundable deposit secures your date. We’ll send you a confirmation email with your officiant’s contact information, and your booking is complete.

  • Depending on your package, you’ll receive:

    • A ceremony outline with customizable options (Made For You and Signature Experience packages)

    • Guidance on writing personal vows (Signature Experience package)

    • Help choosing unity ceremonies, readings, or other special touches

    • Rehearsal coordination if included in your package

  • Your officiant arrives early to check in, coordinate with vendors, and make sure everything runs smoothly. We lead your ceremony from start to finish so you can focus on the moment.

  • After the ceremony, your officiant will file your marriage documents with Alberta Vital Statistics and send you a Ceremony Statement. This statement includes details of your ceremony and your officiant’s registration number, which will help you obtain your official marriage certificate.
